Welcome back! I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday break and are excited to be back to school. I know I am.
Today we were introduced to our big Cell Puppet Show/Soap Opera project. In this project you, in a group, will perform some action that goes on inside of a cell, acting out the roles of the organelles as puppets or characters. This is a major project that will take us through the end of the semester. Definitely one you can't miss. Here is the handout for the puppet show.
After that, we talked about and started learning about organelles in a cells.

Make sure you have this for class as this will provide the background information you need to write a successful script for the puppet show.
Tomorrow we're going into the lab to look at onion and tomato cells under the microscope and get more familiar with the cell organelles.
